Knock Sensor
Description
Mounts directly into the engine block to monitor internal acoustic vibrations. Upon detecting knock frequencies, it signals the engine control unit (ECU) to retard ignition timing, preventing severe combustion damage. It is frequently installed to resolve check engine lights (such as code P0325) or as part of K-series engine rebuilds and swaps.
