September 19, 2005 -- Torrance, Calif. -- Honda has delivered an all-new completely re-engineered Odyssey minivan for 2005: a clean-sheet design that improves upon every single one of the Odyssey's existing strengths while providing an added dimension of emotional appeal and aspirational quality through enhancements in styling, premium features, advanced technology and driving performance - built on the foundation of Honda quality, safety and environmental leadership. For the 2006 model year, the Odyssey adds:

- XM" Satellite Radio added as standard equipment on all Touring models, previously available only in combination with a navigation system
- Leather trimmed steering wheel and shift knob added to all EX-L models.
- Tether anchors added to 3rd row outboard seats
- SAE net rev. 8/04 update: 3.5-liter VTEC V-6 engine on LX and EX (244 horsepower @ 5750 rpm and 240 lb-ft. of torque @ 5000 rpm)
- SAE net rev. 8/04 update: 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine on EX-L and Touring (244 horsepower @ 5750 rpm and 240 lb-ft. of torque @ 4500 rpm)
